History                                 

Skunk Hollow Ski and Snowboard Club was founded about 1960. (The origin of the name is somewhat obscure.) Through the years the members have skied West, Midwest, and internationally, and shared social activities, forging friendships along the way.

Originally a club of the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, our members now reside across the Chicago metropolitan area, and we have a number of members from states outside of Illinois.

SHSC has long been an active member of the Chicago Metropolitan Ski Council.

Membership

Skunk Hollow Ski Club welcomes new members: people who ski or snowboard, AND those who don't.

We have two levels of membership:

 Full members are eligible to participant in club winter sports activities.

Social members may participate in all non-ski-related social events.

NOTE: If you have been a club member in the past, you may quality for free Social Membership. Contact our Membership Chair for details.

Members must be at least 21 years of age.
